Happy Modern Thanksgiving

“Design Within Reach’s holiday calendar seemed the perfect fit for an autumn holiday. Set in Armonk, New York in a beautiful all glass mid-century home designed by architect Arthur Witthoefft that allows the autumn splendour to take over the interior of the home as well.” – escapadeblog.com

We ♥ the Pop Art of Doug Bale

From canvases to throw pillows, we are digging the Surreal, Colorful Pop Art of Doug Bale
Doug Bale: “My art is inspired by my personal meditation and modern spiritual archetypes. The art starts out digitally and has recently shown up on pillows, cubes and t-shirts. The faces are meant to be a “visual meditation” and hopefully hone in on the viewers imagination and personal visions.”

Mad About Mad Men Sets

We are drooling over Interior Design Magazine’s tribute to the furnishings and set design of one of our fave shows, Mad Men!

Set Decorator Amy Wells and Production Designer Dan Bishop have nailed the period perfectly from the show’s time span of early 60’s to 1969. Everything from furniture to distinctive props and wallpaper all come together to create “Mid Century Modern Porn” for us design addicts!
